Possible WWE Signing and Plea Update? – Rima Fakih

It has become apparent that WWE may have signed former Miss USA and Tough Enough contestant; Rima Fakih into a professional wrestling career. Rima previously participated for the past weekend’s WrestleMania festivities, leading to this speculation about whether she had joined the company or not.

PWInsider reports that Rima Fakih may have been signed, but there has been no confirmation since and WWE hasn’t officially revealed the signing. Fakih was one of the five female contestants on USA Network’s Tough Enough last year in 2011, along with those who have been signed: Christina Crawford (Caylee Turner), Ariane Andrew (Cameron Lynn) and Ivelisse Velez (Sofia Cortez) who are now training in WWE’s developmental territory; Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).

However, it is interesting that if Rima has indeed signed to the company to work on a wrestling career, she is however standing trial today on drunken driving charges. TMZ has reported that Fakih has reached a last minute plea deal with Michigan prosecutors for a lower charge. Fakih “pled no contest to misdemeanor driving while visibly impaired” just hours before her trial today. TMZ continues that due to Rima accepting the plea deal, prosecutors dropped a more serious charge of operating while intoxicated. The report also states that Fakih will be sentenced on May 9th and could face up to 93 days of jail time. However, due to a Plea Update, Fakih has recently commented earlier: “You learn, you pay your price for making mistakes and you move on. I’m very happy I can put this behind me.”
